We are just 48 HOURS from this weekend's two major holiday meal outreaches -- focusing on two of the communities here in the U.S. that were hardest hit by natural disasters this year.
As I shared with you a few days ago, this weekend our Mercy Chefs teams will be in both North Carolina and Texas serving hot Thanksgiving meals to families still recovering from this year's storms. In Texas, we'll be serving Thanksgiving dinner at the Beaumont Dream Center while our team also delivers meals directly to the communities hardest hit by Tropical Storm Imelda. Then we'll be in Ocracoke, North Carolina, to support this community that was one of the areas in the U.S. that was devastated by Hurricane Dorian.
WE STILL NEED YOUR HELP!
These may be the only Thanksgiving meals many of these families will receive this year! Providing a full holiday meal with all the trimmings costs about $5 per person. Will you partner with us to feed a family of five (for just $25)? Or perhaps you could sponsor 10 holiday meals ($50), or 20 ($100), or even 100 ($500). Go here to make your tax-deductible gift:
In a very real way, Mercy Chefs' holiday outreaches are designed around the children -- the innocent victims who simply cannot fully understand the ramifications of natural disaster or economic hardship.
When I see these kids enjoying a Thanksgiving or Christmas meal, I know that our work during the holidays is critically important.
Again, our first holiday season meals will be served THIS WEEKEND. We still need friends like you to help make these and other holiday outreaches possible. Thanks in advance for your partnership!
God bless!

P.S. I just got back from an important trip to the Bahamas where we are finalizing details on the next phase of our outreach there. But right now, we must give our full attention to Mercy Chefs' holiday meals -- especially our outreaches to hard-hit communities taking place this weekend. Please help. Go here:
P.P.S. As I noted to you yesterday, I have been selected as one of six finalists for the 2020 Eagle Rare Life Award. The winner of the award will be decided by the results of an online poll, with the charity of the winner's choice (in my case, Mercy Chefs!) receiving a $50,000 donation -- but I need your votes!
