DEPLOYMENT UPDATE: HURRICANE BERYL
Go here to help rush relief to Grenada.

As I write, a Mercy Chefs team is in transit to Grenada where that island country has been decimated by Hurricane Beryl which made a direct hit as a Category 4 storm.

Grenada's Prime Minister, Dickon Mitchell, is describing the devastation on the island of Carriacou as "Armageddon-like." Nearly all the structures on the island were damaged or destroyed. Mitchell adds that "there is literally no vegetation left anywhere on the island."

As soon as the storm struck, we released resources to partners on the ground in Grenada to assist in meeting emergency needs. Our Mercy Chefs team will be providing vital groceries and local ingredients to families while we prepare to bring hot meals to the Caribbean.

This is a four-alarm emergency deployment. I'm asking every Mercy Chefs friend to partner with us THIS WEEKEND as we get our team to Grenada and establish resource pipelines to meet critical needs and prepare hot meals. Go here to help:

Beryl is headed for a likely landfall in Texas tomorrow into Monday morning. We are closely monitoring that situation as well. But right now, we need to get relief to Grenada.

Carriacou has been devastated. Just about every building and every tree has been damaged or destroyed. The entire infrastructure for electricity and fresh water is offline.

We can go only because you send us!

Thanks in advance, and may God bless you.

Gary LeBlanc, Mercy Chefs
