I have a very specific challenge...
Even if you've already helped with our Thanksgiving outreach, would you consider taking a few minutes right now to sponsor FIVE families to receive a full Thanksgiving dinner prepared by our Mercy Chefs team? Your gift of $100 will sponsor FIVE families of four to enjoy a full holiday meal.
Of course, every gift will help. If you can contribute $60, we'll feed THREE FAMILIES; $40 will feed TWO families. Perhaps you can contribute more and sponsor 10 families ($200), or even 20 families ($400).

Our team is preparing to serve about 5,000 Thanksgiving meals in Southeastern Louisiana to families who are still struggling to recover from Hurricane Ida. This is the start of our holiday outreaches, which focus on communities that were recently hit by disaster or are struggling during these difficult times.
These holiday meals are among the most emotional and heart-warming meals that we serve during the entire year. Especially for the kids. They are so often caught in the crossfire of a disaster. 
Perhaps their homes have been damaged or destroyed, or their parents lost their jobs. But Thanksgiving without a turkey and all the trimmings? It's hard for them to even comprehend.
That's why what Mercy Chefs does around the holidays is so important to me. Just to put smiles on the faces of these kids and their parents makes all the effort worthwhile.
