Mercy Chefs' Portsmouth Community Kitchen was founded in 2019 to
address food insecurity across Hampton Roads, providing strength and
nourishment while serving as a launch point for disaster response when
crises strike. Through partnerships with local schools, churches, and
community organizations, Mercy Chefs distributes thousands of hot meals
each month to children, single parents, and seniors in need. Our kitchen
also creates opportunities for culinary job-skills training that builds
confidence and nutritional knowledge.
