Over the weekend, Hurricane Hanna made landfall along the south Texas Gulf Coast, bringing high winds and massive amounts of rain to the area.

As much as 17 inches of rain hit the region IN JUST FOUR HOURS, leaving many areas devastated from the flooding.

+ + Towns Under Water!

I just got off the phone with my contact in the area who spoke with the mayors of McAllen, Sullivan City, Mission, and Palm View -- towns that were UNDER WATER after the deluge of rain hit. All four mayors remembered Mercy Chefs for our Thanksgiving outreach a few years back and specifically asked if it was possible for our teams to come and help their communities in the midst of this crisis. THEY ASKED FOR US BY NAME!

+ + We are deploying as I write

I'm dispatching a team of our top chefs and a full compliment of team members so we can get meals to the community as quickly as possible. As I write, we are scouting out locations for our base of operations so we can reach all of these hard-hit communities in the best way possible.

We will be focusing our response on feeding the hurricane victims whose homes have been flooded out by the storm.

I am hoping to be serving our first meals as soon as Wednesday dinner. This is why Mercy Chefs exists -- and now I'm turning to friends like you for help.

We expect to serve THOUSANDS of meals to hurricane victims in Texas whose homes have been flooded out by this storm. Will you help? Go here to make your tax-deductible gift and help sponsor 10, 20, 50, or even 100 meals to help provide hot meals to Hurricane Hanna disaster victims and continue other vital efforts:

This is the FIRST hurricane landfall of the season and based on my conversations, the damage is far worse than what is being reported in the media -- especially in the economically challenged regions. The four towns we are reaching were already struggling in the midst of the COVID crisis and now are facing a long and difficult recovery with entire areas completely under water.

Again, we will be focusing our outreach on the families whose homes have been flooded out. Your support today will help these victims right away!

Finally, please pray for all those impacted by this storm, as well as for our Mercy Chefs team as we deploy during these challenging times.

Thanks in advance, and God bless!

Gary LeBlanc, Mercy Chefs
