TUESDAY UPDATE-- RUSHING RELIEF TO NORTH CAROLINA
The situation in both Florida and North Carolina in the aftermath of Helene continues to be critical.
What happened in North Carolina is beyond description. The loss of life is tragic, and the death toll continues to rise. Entire communities in Asheville and surrounding towns were overwhelmed by the fast-rising floodwaters.
+ + Serving hot meals TODAY in North Carolina
As I write, a Mercy Chefs team is setting up our base of operations in Asheville, very close to one of the hardest hit regions, Biltmore Village. This area was totally submerged by floodwaters.
Our Mercy Chefs team in North Carolina is working to provide our first hot meals THIS EVENING to flood victims. We are now fully engaged in two major deployments, and that means I need the help of every Mercy Chefs friend.
I'm asking you to go the extra mile with me today by making a special gift to help us feed Helene victims in both North Carolina and Florida. Go here to help sponsor 10, 20, 50, or even 100 meals for Helene victims in Florida and North Carolina while we continue other vital outreaches:
This is an ALL HANDS ON DECK response for Mercy Chefs. We're launching teams from Alabama and Virginia. We're bringing in every vehicle and every piece of equipment we have to meet this need in western North Carolina.
We simply cannot turn our backs or close our eyes. People need help right now.
But we can't go without your partnership!
Please pray for these families. And ask the Lord how you can help Mercy Chefs deliver hope and hot meals to thousands in both Florida and North Carolina.
Thanks in advance, and God bless,
Gary LeBlanc, Mercy Chefs
