Please see below for a very important update on our relief efforts in Ukraine. --Gary

This month marks two years since the war in Ukraine started. Shortly after the first Russian attacks, my wife Ann and I traveled to the Romania-Ukraine border and the Lord opened up a relief effort of magnitude and importance I never could have imagined.

Nearly two years later (and millions of meals provided), Mercy Chefs is still on the ground inside Ukraine. This week, our Vice President of Mercy Chefs Global, Carl Ladd, is traveling to Ukraine as we launch a major expansion of our efforts to reach even more of the most hurting, at-risk Ukrainian families who are living at or near the front lines of this horrible war.

For more than a year, Mercy Chefs and our partners have been operating a fully functioning kitchen in Kostiantynivka, an industrial city in eastern Ukraine. We have been serving civilians along the ever-shifting front lines where food and water accessibility has become non-existent. We are providing hot meals to the elderly, the sick, the disabled, and impoverished families whose worlds have been destroyed.

+ + We're adding a second frontline kitchen

In recent weeks, we have realized we need a second kitchen near the front lines to expand and ensure this lifeline of meals for those who are suffering in the midst of the uncertainty of this war.

Carl is in Ukraine this week to help our team establish this kitchen. For safety reasons, I cannot disclose the location of this kitchen but rest assured, we are reaching the desperate of the desperate on the very edge of this war.

Simply put, to continue and expand our relief efforts in Ukraine, we need help in a major way. I'm praying for an influx of tens of thousands of dollars in the coming weeks to establish this second kitchen, repair critical equipment, and continue serving thousands of meals every week.

Can I count on your support now as we expand to serve even more victims of this war? Go here to help Mercy Chefs bring relief to Ukraine:

The suffering of these families who have been directly caught in the crossfire of this war is unimaginable. The meals and fresh water and bread we are providing are life-sustaining. I simply cannot look away from this need.

I will have more to share from Carl's trip soon.

Thank you so much for your prayers and your consideration.

God bless,

Gary
