I hope you saw my video report from Fort Myers Beach. The devastation is almost mind-boggling. Street after street, house after house, there are scenes like this...

Cars tossed and destroyed. Houses leveled or damaged beyond repair. Rubble everywhere. These communities face months if not years of recovery. Some families are just now returning to search through the wreckage and try to figure out what to do next.

+ + Hope in the midst of disaster...

Yet in the midst of all the rubble, there are still so many signs of hope that we're finding in the people of southwest Florida.

While we were delivering meals to Fort Myers Beach, we met this gentleman who was working hard to find joy in this terrible situation. Thankfully, the exterior of his house including the roof made it through the storm. But everything inside was destroyed. This is his wife's "hope house." She has ovarian cancer and after vacationing in Fort Myers Beach for many years, earlier this year they decided to purchase this house. Now their "hope house" faces a long road of recovery.

But he and his wife haven't given up hope. And the hot meals you helped provide brought a smile to his face.

To date, we've delivered more than 180,000 meals, thanks to the support of friends like you. Each meal carries with it a powerful message of hope that someone cares enough to provide restaurant-quality food right to what's left of their front door.

Today, our team is hard at work providing thousands more meals, and more importantly, thousands of messages of hope. Will you help us deliver hope today by sponsoring 10, 20, 50 or 100 meals today? Go here to make your tax-deductible gift:

Please pray for this couple and thousands more who are just now assessing the damages and charting their next steps. This is a very difficult time in the aftermath of a disaster. These folks need our prayers and support.

Thank you for partnering with us, and God bless you,

Gary
