I have some very exciting news! I am so happy to report that, through the generosity of friends and partners like you, we surpassed our fundraising goal for the end-of-the-year $50,000 Matching Challenge!
 
These much-needed funds will help us do so much for so many this year. 2020 was a record-setting season for Mercy Chefs, and we're not slowing down in 2021.
 
For the last four years, around the end of December or the beginning of January, the Lord has given me a specific word for Mercy Chefs. 
  
In 2017, it was Advance. And advance we did into a great many new areas of outreach. For 2018, the word was Surge. We pushed forward with the force of a storm. In 2019, it was Pursue. We sought God's guidance in each endeavor so that we might serve Him in everything we do. Last year, the word was Increase. We did so exponentially, serving more than three times the number of meals in 2020 alone as we had in the fourteen years since our founding combined.

As before, the Lord has spoken a fresh message for 2021--a renewed focus according to His grand design. I'll reveal it to my team during our weekly staff call, and then we'll be ready to share it with you!

I have to admit I was crossing my fingers that it would be Nap, or maybe Vacation, but I think we all know that's not going to happen.

We're ready to build on what we've learned in the last twelve months and grow into something even greater in the next twelve. I hope you're excited to see what the Father has planned for us as we continue our mission of feeding body and soul for His children across the nation and around the world.
