Kids here at home are hurting this summer. Here's how you can help...
It's shocking that 13 million kids face food insecurity. And the situation is worse in the summer when kids are away from school feeding programs.
This summer, Mercy Chefs is partnering to distribute 7,000 backpacks to hurting kids. 
Each backpack is filled with the equivalent of 10 easy-to-prepare meals, and it costs about $35 to put backpacks into the hands of three kids.
UPDATE: We are hoping to have all 7,000 backpacks fully sponsored by faithful friends like you as soon as possible! Here's how you can help:
- Just $70 will help us deliver backpacks to six kids (60 meals total);
- Perhaps you can help us reach a dozen kids for $140.
- Or go the extra mile and help sponsor 30 kids ($350) or even 300 kids ($3,500)
