Today marks the eighth year of Giving Tuesday -- a nationwide effort to raise funds for non-profit organizations during the holiday season.

This year, Mercy Chefs has set a Giving Tuesday goal of fully funding up to 2,000 of the holiday meals for disaster victims, children and needy families that we will be serving this Christmas season.

Each Christmas, Mercy Chefs serves thousands of holiday meals with all the fixings. This is one of the most important seasons of the year for our mission -- especially for the thousands of children who will experience what may be their only Christmas dinner and Christmas party at a Mercy Chefs event.

Will you help us meet our Giving Tuesday goal of fully funding 2,000 of our holiday meals? Simply click here or on the image below to help sponsor Christmas meals and continue other vital Mercy Chefs outreaches:

This is a very practical way you can make a difference for hurting families THIS CHRISTMAS! Mercy Chefs just completed serving 5,000 holiday meals over Thanksgiving weekend to hurricane victims in Florida. Throughout the coming month, we will be hosting special holiday events for disaster victims and hurting families. With your help, we'll serve thousands more meals.

It costs about $5 to prepare and serve a full holiday dinner; $25 to feed a family of five. Your gift of $50 can help provide a full Christmas dinner to 10 folks; $100 feeds 20; $250 feeds 50.  If the Lord has blessed you this year in a special way, perhaps you would consider making a gift of $500 (100 meals), $1,000 (200 meals) or more.

Of course, every gift will help! Go here to make your tax-deductible gift.

Finally, thanks so much for all you are doing to make the ministry of Mercy Chefs possible. Your generosity makes all the difference as we extend God's love and compassion through hot, chef-prepared meals.

God bless,

Gary LeBlanc
Founder & President, Mercy Chefs

P.S. Again, our goal for today, Giving Tuesday, is to fully sponsor 2,000 of the holiday meals we will be serving between now and the end of the year. Will you help? Go here or click on the image to make your gift, and thanks in advance:
