I have some good news from Houston...

Thankfully, power has now been restored to more than 90% of homes in and around Houston that lost power. This has been one of the most widespread and most prolonged power outages at a major U.S. city that we have seen. And this created an enormous need.

Through yesterday, Mercy Chefs had served over 90,000 meals, and we continue meal service today to the most needy communities where folks are still trying to get back on their feet.

+ + It takes a team...

When I think about how many people it takes to serve over 90,000 hot, nutritious meals in just over a week, it's staggering. Especially with such a widespread power outage, every meal and every delivery can become more challenging.

We’ve been feeding the folks in and around Houston through multiple churches and organizations in order to reach as many people as possible.

This has required the help of HUNDREDS of volunteers who have generously donated their time to serve their neighbors. In addition, our Mercy Chefs team members drove in and flew in from across the country to serve the people of Houston.

Plus...

YOU!

Every meal we serve is made possible by faithful friends like you.

Mercy Chefs relies directly on the contributions of caring partners across the country who stand with us to sponsor 10, 20, 50, 100 or more meals.

As we continue to serve the people of Houston today, would you consider helping us finish strong by sponsoring 10 or even 20 meals? Go here:

We’re always amazed to see how communities come together during times of great need. And we know that thousands of friends like you from across the nation have joined hands with our team to make every meal possible.

Thank you and God bless you!
