A quick update...
Mercy Chefs has been asked to redeploy to LaPlace, Louisiana, and help a local church that is struggling to meet a need of hundreds of meals daily for Ida victims.
LaPlace is a community that had been receiving meals twice daily from Mercy Chefs all throughout our Ida deployment. The need in LaPlace has persisted. The reality is, many families are still on the first steps of a long road of recovery. Our church partners in LaPlace contacted me yesterday and asked for help.
As I write, Mercy Chefs resources are in motion to get staff and equipment back to Louisiana so we can begin serving meals on Tuesday in LaPlace. We will also be delivering about 1,000 meals daily to nearby Houma which is also facing a serious need.
Will you partner with me to answer these calls for help from two communities that were hit hard by Ida? Go here to help sponsor 10, 20, 50 or even 100 meals during this critical redeployment:
Coming on the heels of one of our most extensive and costly deployments, I'm counting on friends like you to help me make this happen.
I'll have more details for you in the next 24 hours. For now, thanks so much for your consideration, and God bless!
Gary LeBlanc, Mercy Chefs
