Record flooding hits northwest Iowa. We are rushing relief to families in need...

Massive rains and a levee breach in the northwest Iowa town of Rock Valley caused record flooding that forced hundreds to evacuate their homes. The flood stage on the Rock River reached 27.64 feet, nearly FIVE FEET above the previous high.

The flooding caused a complete disruption of electricity and running water, and an estimated 1,900 homes and properties have been damaged across the state. This has created an immediate and urgent need for hot meals for families and disaster teams.

+ + Sponsor meals for Iowa families...

Local leaders in Rock Valley asked Mercy Chefs -- Grassfire's disaster relief partner -- to come and provide food service for thousands of people who need help immediately. We expect to deliver 5,000 meals daily during the height of this crisis.

This small town was devastated by the floodwaters. Families have been displaced and need help. Here's how you can support Iowa families:

  • Your gift of $70 will help provide 20 hot meals to Iowa families;
  • If you can help with $105, you'll be sponsoring 30 hot meals;
  • If the Lord has financially blessed you, please consider sponsoring 100 meals ($350) or even 285 meals ($1,000), or more.
