It's been a few weeks since I updated you on our relief efforts in Ukraine.
First of all, thank you so much for partnering with Mercy Chefs to reach refugees and those deep inside Ukraine who are facing the brunt of the ramifications of Russia's invasion. Thanks to your support, Mercy Chefs just passed 3 MILLION pounds of food and supplies provided to refugees, orphanages and those inside Ukraine.
But the reality is, the need is still great...
Millions of Ukrainians are refugees inside their own country, having evacuated the front lines in the east to cities and towns in western Ukraine. This has put a significant strain on resources in these communities. At the same time, as I've reported to you, millions of Ukrainians have returned to the country even though the war is still very much raging.
These factors mean our work is even more vital as more people inside the country still need help.
+ + I just made a huge commitment to Ukraine...
This is why I recently committed to keep Mercy Chefs engaged in this massive relief effort for the next several months. This is an enormous commitment of resources that, of course, I never could have anticipated when Ann and I first visited the Ukraine-Romania border back in March.
So I'm turning to friends like you who have so faithfully supported our Ukraine relief efforts.
Would you prayerfully consider matching or even exceeding your best gift to Mercy Chefs for Ukraine relief right now so we can feed hundreds of thousands of Ukrainian families facing the brunt of Russia's war over the next several weeks? Go here to make your tax-deductible gift:
We simply cannot leave our post. The Lord opened a door for Mercy Chefs to establish a warehouse on the border of Ukraine. We have the transportation system and network of churches and organizations inside Ukraine that are receiving the food and supplies and delivering them to families in need. These communities are now depending on our support! That's why I must keep this lifeline open.
Please help. Generous friends like you have made every pound of food we've delivered to a family inside Ukraine or an orphanage or a refugee possible. With your partnership, we'll continue to meet the need in the midst of this humanitarian crisis.
God bless,
Gary LeBlanc, Mercy Chefs
