We heard from Stella, a mom and grandma who has been on the receiving end of your generosity in Eastern Kentucky.

Stella contacted us to let us know how much her family appreciated receiving real meals from Mercy Chefs...

"We couldn't have ham for Thanksgiving or Christmas because we couldn't afford one.... So getting the ham yesterday was like having both holidays in one."

What she said next drove home just how difficult these times have been since last year's historic floods...

"It's hard when you have to choose meds or food."

Medicine or food. Sadly, this is reality for many families right now in Eastern Kentucky! It's the kind of impossible choice that many families here have been forced to make over the past six months. Before Mercy Chefs arrived, most children were only getting one decent meal a day -- their school lunch. Families here are struggling that much. Stella's family couldn't celebrate the holidays with a decent meal.

Then, you helped us fill in that gap.

As I write, our team is hard at work helping to fill the gaps in provision for hurting famililes in Eastern Kentucky. Every day, we're providing 5,000 or more hot meals. But to keep this lifeline of provision going, I need your help...

Even if you've already helped us this month in Kentucky, will you sponsor 10, 20, 50 or even 100 meals today? Go here to help:

I hope your family and my family never have to choose between medicine and food. It's an impossibly difficult choice.

Right now, you and I can help alleviate that choice by giving families hot meals and grocery packs that help them make it through these tough times.

Thank you for partnering with us.

God bless,

Gary LeBlanc, Mercy Chefs

P.S. Stella concluded her message to us by saying, "You have been a blessing. Thank you for all you do!" In turn, thank YOU for making each meal possible. We'll serve thousands more meals tomorrow. Go here to help make each meal and each story of relief possible:
