Massive Tornado DISASTER -- Help Mercy Chefs provide a Beacon of Hope and long-term relief for tornado victims in Kentucky
A massive tornado strike hit Kentucky and surrounding states in what may be one of the most devastating tornadoes we've ever seen -- just two weeks before Christmas. Our Mercy Chefs team mobilized to Mayfield within hours of the strike and has served thousands of meals to victims, first responders and volunteers,
To meet the long-term needs in the region, Mercy Chefs has officially launched our Beacon of Hope Kitchen to serve the communities of Western Kentucky that are starting the long road to recovery from last month's tornadoes. Our Beacon of Hope Kitchen will service Graves County and the surrounding areas using a four-fold approach:
- Providing hot meals to individuals and communities in need.
- Supporting local agencies providing continued tornado relief.
- Providing lodging and meals for long-term relief teams traveling to the area.
- Implementing the Mercy Chefs Grocery Box Distribution Program in Western Kentucky.
UPDATE -- We are serving hundreds of meals daily to tornado victims across Western Kentucky. Now we need your help to bring long-term relief to the region.
