Today, our Mercy Chefs team is returning to United Life Church in Lake Charles -- the church that served as our base of operations during Hurricane Laura relief efforts. To be quite honest, I'm not sure what to expect. We have never returned to the same location that was hit TWICE by a major hurricane in such a short time.

I'm sure the people of Lake Charles are devastated and discouraged. This is an absolutely critical deployment, and I need help THIS WEEKEND so we can start meeting the need.

I'm at a loss for words. I can't believe we're going back to Lake Charles. 2020 has been a difficult year for all of us, but I can't imagine having your community get hit by TWO MAJOR HURRICANES in the span of a few weeks.

Please pray for the people of Southwest Louisiana. And as the Lord leads, please help Mercy Chefs meet this need.
