Every time Mercy Chefs deploys, we meet people whose faith and determination in the midst of disaster impacts our team in profound ways.

I want you to meet Diane (pictured on the left)...

Diane and her family lived in their home in Winchester, Indiana, for over three decades. Then the EF-3 tornado hit last week...

Their home was destroyed. The roof ripped off. Bedrooms decimated. Her family's belongings scattered across their yard. And as evidence of just how fast these tornadoes are, the pot of spaghetti Diane was preparing for dinner that night was still on the stove in her now-wrecked kitchen.

+ + Hope in the midst of disaster...

The situation would seem hopeless. Except for the faith and determination of Diane, her family, and their neighbors.

We met Diane as neighbors were working in the cold to help her and her family recover what they could from their home. Thanks to friends like you, Mercy Chefs provided each person a hot meal at the end of a long day.

As Diane showed our team what remained of her home, we noticed a note on her microwave. It was the only thing she put back up after the tornado:

“I remain confident of this: I will see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living.” -Psalm 27:13

This week, Mercy Chefs has served thousands of meals to tornado victims in Indiana and Ohio. This month alone, we'll provide more than 100,000 meals across America and around the world.

The truth is, every day we need help from friends like you to nurture the seed of hope that God has put in every heart. The meals you sponsor do just that.

Thank you so much for partnering with us.

May God richly bless you,

Gary, Mercy Chefs
