Hurricane Iota has rapidly developed into a massive CAT-5 hurricane with 160mph winds that will hit Central America beginning this evening. It is the strongest hurricane of the year and expected to bring devastating winds and another round of deadly flooding to already decimated areas, including where Mercy Chefs is serving in Honduras.

Over the weekend, we saw continued heavy demand for clean water and the Family Survival Meal Packs that Mercy Chefs is providing. Each meal pack can feed a family of four for five days. The food and water have been a lifeline for these folks.

With Iota's landfall now imminent, we are taking safety precautions while also stockpiling food and supplies so that we can help respond immediately after the storm passes.

We've already helped provide thousands of meals and countless gallons of drinking water. I want to do even more to help these hurting people, but we depend entirely on the generosity of friends like you!

Will you partner with me today to bring relief to Honduras as they face the threat of this second major hurricane in two weeks? Just $10 can feed a family of four for five days. If you can contribute $50, we'll feed FIVE FAMILIES; $100 helps us feed TEN FAMILIES for five days. Go here to make your tax-deductible gift and help us meet this urgent need:

This is all so tragic. The people in Central America haven't even started on the long road of recovery from Hurricane Eta, which took the lives of more than 170 people and many are still missing. The death toll could skyrocket from this second storm because so many are still barely surviving day-to-day. For example, some of the people Mercy Chefs is helping have already been without running water for nearly two weeks!

Can you help? Please ask the Lord how you can partner with Mercy Chefs right now. Then, go here to make your gift.

Again, a second major hurricane will strike THIS EVENING. I've never seen anything like it. Hundreds of thousands of people in the path of this new storm are still engaged in the struggle of their lives after Eta. No drinking water. No electricity. No home. Please help.

God bless,

Gary LeBlanc, Mercy Chefs
