Monday P.M.

Earlier today, I shared with you about the long lines we're seeing here in Lake Charles (see below). Well, THE LINES HAVE GROWN EVEN LONGER TODAY!

The line of cars outside our main outreach location now stretches so far down the street that it extends under the adjacent highway and then back up along the highway on the other side. Cars started lining up more than an hour before we began serving lunch, and it only grew as the day went on.

The demand has increased despite the fact that we expanded to FOUR distribution locations today. The need is so great, we will be adding one or two more tomorrow.

I urgently need help to keep pace with the exploding need. Would you prayerfully consider making a special gift right now to help Mercy Chefs provide hot meals to desperately hurting hurricane victims? Go here to make your tax-deductible gift, and click here for my earlier report.

P.S. We've already served over 4,000 meals today and I won't be surprised if we eclipse 6,000 when we finally finish up for the day. Tomorrow we are bracing for even greater demand. Please help. Perhaps you could sponsor 10, 20, 50, or even 100 meals. If the Lord has blessed you financially and you can sponsor 400 meals ($1,000) or more, please do so today! My heart is broken for these people. Two major hurricanes in a matter of weeks! Go here:
