Giving Tuesday (Midday)

I hope you saw my special announcement earlier today (below) regarding the unexpected $50,000 Giving Tuesday Matching Challenge.

This was a total surprise and it comes at a critical time.

+ + People have been waiting HOURS for our holiday meals...

Mercy Chefs has been meeting desperate needs all year. At times, it's been overwhelming. For example, we served over 21,000 meals in one day during our Hurricane Ida response.

The urgent need continued this past weekend during our holiday outreaches.
At every Mercy Chefs holiday meal distribution to Ida victims in Louisiana, people started lining up at least TWO HOURS beforehand to ensure they received a meal. On Thanksgiving morning, a man lined up at 5:20 AM for a 9 AM distribution just to be sure he could get a Thanksgiving dinner!

Quite frankly, our resources have been stretched this year by the overwhelming need. That's why this surprise matching challenge is such a blessing.

But we must raise the matching funds TODAY on Giving Tuesday to release the full $50,000 challenge.
