My concern for the people of Ukraine is increasing with each passing day...
On Thursday, Russian President Vladimir Putin warned that Russia's war against Ukraine IS JUST BEGINNING:
“Everybody should know that largely speaking, we haven’t even yet started anything in earnest,” said Putin.
Putin also said that Russia is prepared to fight "until the last Ukrainian," seeming to pledge that Russia will keep fighting until the entire country is decimated.
+ + Two-front war puts refugees at greater risk
Meanwhile, there are increasing reports that Belarus is getting more and more involved in the war on Russia's side. Just yesterday, Belarus yielded control to Russia of an airfield that is less than 20 miles from the Ukrainian border.
Increased direct or indirect involvement of Belarus with Russia puts the entire western half of Ukraine back on the front lines of this war. This includes Lviv -- the largest city in western Ukraine -- as well as the many refugee camps and orphanages in the region that are home to countless Ukrainians who have fled from eastern Ukraine.
Mercy Chefs is exploring every avenue for increasing our support for both the refugees as well as Ukrainians still inside the country who are facing more threats with each passing day.
This weekend, I need your help to continue and even expand our relief efforts in Ukraine. Each week, we're helping to deliver about 100,000 pounds of food and resources to Ukrainians in need. Will you partner with me this weekend as we continue this lifeline of hope for Ukrainians on the front lines of this war? Go here to make your tax-deductible gift:
When I first traveled to the Ukrainian border over four months ago, I had no idea Mercy Chefs would take part in a massive relief effort in the middle of this war zone. We went to see if we could help the refugees. We've done that. Mercy Chefs has helped provide thousands upon thousands of meals to refugees. On top of this, the Lord opened up a door for us to help establish a warehouse on the Romanian border of Ukraine and build a relief network that has delivered more than 2.5 million pounds of food and resources to those deep inside Ukraine all the way to the front lines of this war.
With Putin and Russia doubling down on their terror campaign, I want to double or even triple our relief efforts! But to do so, I need your help.
Please help sponsor 10, 25, 50 or even 100 meals for Ukrainians in the midst of this horrible war. And continue to pray for those who are suffering.
God bless,
Gary LeBlanc, Mercy Chefs
