First of all, thank you so much for your prayers and your faithful support of Mercy Chefs during what has, so far, been an unprecedented and almost unimaginable year of ministry. My team just finished a video highlighting the Mercy Chefs story, as well as some of the outreaches you've helped to make possible so far this year. Go here:

As you know, we just finished up our fourth disaster relief response for the summer. These experiences have impacted me in a very deep way. I'm more determined than ever to do everything I can to reach even more people in the coming weeks and months.

First of all, we are still not finished with what has already been a record hurricane season. Historically, October is the third most active month or tropical storms, and it was just two years ago during the first week of October that Hurricane Michael rapidly formed over the Gulf and struck a devastating blow to the Florida panhandle. That's why I'm closely watching a potential storm right now over the Yucatan Peninsula that is expected to become the 24th named storm of this season.

Meanwhile, we continue to monitor the wildfires on the West Coast and are waiting for our partners there to call for our help. We are also continuing our Farmers to Families efforts to bring relief to hundreds of thousands who are facing economic struggles as a result of the coronavirus crisis. I'll be sharing more on these efforts soon.

For now, please accept my thanks for your partnership with Mercy Chefs. Your faithfulness has enabled us to reach millions of people this year and meet critical needs for those facing natural disasters and economic struggles.

May God bless you,

Gary LeBlanc, Mercy Chefs
