From Comayagua, Honduras
Last night we held the official ribbon cutting and grand opening of our new Mercy Chefs Global kitchen here in Comayagua, Honduras.
It was an emotion-filled evening as we stood together with dozens of pastors from across Latin America along with our partners here in Honduras and dedicated this new kitchen to the Lord and to a greater level of service and impact.
To establish this top-quality facility, we installed a baking station, three-bay sink, stoves, refrigeration, and all the restaurant-quality equipment needed for our partner church to cook delicious meals for their community. Just a few months ago, they were cooking meals here with little to no kitchen supplies. Now, the dedicated team here is able to serve hundreds of high-quality meals every week to those in need, especially the children.
Many of these children didn't even know how to use a fork when they first came to our facility.
Most had been surviving on one meal a day.
Now, Mercy Chefs Global's new kitchen is helping these kids do more than just survive.
Just as important, this new kitchen will serve as a training center for teams from across Latin America. We will spread the "DNA" of Mercy Chefs across this entire region as we teach and equip on how to create high-quality meals that serve people in life-changing ways.
I'm praying that the Lord will stir the hearts of His people to help Mercy Chefs establish this new Global kitchen and expand this work into many nations. As we teach and train, we can GREATLY MULTIPLY our impact.
But we need help!
I'm so grateful for all you have done to stand with Mercy Chefs as we have followed our mission to "Just Go Feed People." Friends like you have made this day possible.
May God bless you richly,
Gary LeBlanc, Mercy Chefs
