Our team has arrived in Puerto Rico and Mercy Chefs is serving hot meals TONIGHT at seven feeding locations within three of the hardest-hit communities as the earthquake crisis continues.

+ + "The ground is still shaking"

One earthquake victim told CNN, "We're in a fight right now. The ground is still shaking" after more quakes rocked the island both Wednesday and Thursday. Many homes and buildings have been damaged or destroyed, and authorities fear that many more may now have inherent structural weaknesses that make them even more susceptible to the next shaking. That's why so many people are still afraid to return to their homes and are sleeping in tents or cars or have gone to one of the 30 shelters that have opened along the southern coast (where we have established a kitchen).

+ + Need Your Help This Weekend

As I noted, starting this evening, Mercy Chefs meals will be served at seven feeding locations within three of the hardest-hit communities. We will be serving hot meals to earthquake disaster victims and volunteers ALL WEEKEND and I'm asking you to prayerfully consider partnering with us.

Will you sponsor 5, 10, 20, 40 or even 100 hot meals so we can bring tangible relief to earthquake disaster victims in Puerto Rico while we continue other vital efforts? Go here to make your tax-deductible gift:

As I noted, there are thousands of people in 30 shelters  across southwest Puerto Rico, and countless more simply sleeping in tents or cars... anything to avoid going back to their homes and await another devastating earthquake.

I want to help meet the need here. We are ON THE GROUND right now, serving hot meals TONIGHT!

Please pray for Puerto Rico. Pray also for our Mercy Chefs team. And help as you can.

God bless!

Gary LeBlanc, Mercy Chefs

P.S. It would be a great blessing if we could get ALL of the meals we will be serving this weekend funded in the next 24 hours, and more, so we can help meet the need. For example, today we had to purchase a refrigerator for the kitchen. That's just one example. The needs are always greater than we can anticipate, especially once word spreads that Mercy Chefs is serving meals. Please help! Go here:
