Thursday Update--Earthquake Relief

Yesterday, Mercy Chefs and our partners began providing meals to earthquake victims from four field kitchens in four locations across southeastern Turkey. These cities surround the very epicenter of the earthquake strike.
In all, about 2,000 meals were served yesterday, and we expect demand will increase daily, especially as we add resources and locations (today we've added a fifth city).
I fully expect the demand could double and then double again quickly. The next 72 hours are absolutely critical as we establish our infrastructure, secure supply lines, identify the greatest areas of need, and serve THOUSANDS of meals.
Simply put, WE NEED YOUR HELP! We cannot do this without friends like you standing with us.
Again, the need is immense and our response is going to accelerate rapidly. A Mercy Chefs team is arriving today with much-needed supplies of groceries and propane for cooking. Tomorrow, more Mercy Chefs personnel arrive, including two chefs who will be able to provide support
in expanding the types of meals Mercy Chefs and our partners can offer.
Please pray for the victims. Pray for the emergency workers. Pray for open doors for our team to reach as many people as possible.
