SERVING MEALS TODAY IN WAVERLY

Saturday Morning:

We're providing full Christmas dinners today to flood victims in this hard-hit community. Please consider sponsoring two, three, or even four families, and see below for more details. -- Gary

Our Mercy Chefs team is on the ground TODAY in Waverly, Tennessee -- a community that was devastated by flooding this past summer. We're back to bring support and practical relief to this community that is still reeling from the loss of life and devastation the flooding caused.

When we arrived in Waverly in August, the community was still in shock and still searching for friends and family members who were missing. We set up our mobile kitchen in a retail parking lot that just days prior had been totally overwhelmed by flooding (pictured here). I spoke with folks who had barely escaped the floodwaters, which rose with almost no warning.

It can take months or even years for a community to recover from such a disaster. This is why we go back to areas hard hit by natural disasters during the holidays and provide full holiday meals. Today, we'll provide full holiday meals along with grocery boxes with food and basic essentials to support families during the holiday season.

Can you help by sponsoring one, two, three, or even five or ten families to receive a holiday meal this year? Go here to make your tax-deductible gift and help us reach hurting families and their children this month:

Just $60 will help sponsor THREE FAMILIES to receive a holiday meal today through the end of the year. Every gift will make a difference!

Also today, we have a team leaving for Honduras to support our ongoing work. Mercy Chefs has provided tens of thousands of meals, along with other vital resources and support, for families and children still reeling from last year's hurricanes. And next week, we're back in Louisiana where Mercy Chefs will deliver thousands of meals.

Everything we do depends on friends like you. Thanks for your prayers and your help!

God bless,

Gary LeBlanc, Mercy Chefs

P.S. Yesterday, the Labor Department announced that inflation has hit a 39-YEAR HIGH, with the consumer price index now rising at 6.8% annually. The reality of inflation is making it even more difficult for families, especially during the holiday season. This makes what we are doing today even more important. Please help!
