SUNDAY UPDATE: Help us reach 15,000 total meals served to Hurricane Francine victims by clicking here now.
It's been an amazing first few days here in Houma, Louisiana. With your generous support, we've been able to prepare and serve more than 14,000 hot meals to victims of Hurricane Francine.
When you help Mercy Chef deploy to a disaster area, our team wants to do more than feed the body. We also want to feed and comfort the souls of people who have lost everything.
Our goal is to do more than carry food, water and other provisions with us. We want to bring hope -- specifically, the hope of Jesus Christ. Thank you for helping Mercy Chefs do that this week!
+ + We're serving thousands of hot, chef-prepared meals again TODAY!
Yesterday, we spoke with Sgt. Quentin Menard of the Berwick Police Department about how the entire community is coming together during this difficult time. He also shared what it means to have Mercy Chefs' support:
"This is some people's absolute worst week of their lives. [They] have never had to experience this before. ... Knowing that there is help out there, knowing that there is hope — that's a good feeling."
Thank you, for sending us to provide hope to families recovering from Hurricane Francine. Please help us feed the bodies and souls of even more people in Louisiana today. Click here or on the banner below to give now:
- $70 helps sponsor 20 hot meals;
- $105 feeds 30 victims of this disaster;
- $350 provides 100 hot meals.
We expect to cross 15,000 total meals served TODAY! Can I count on you to help by sponsoring 10, 20, 50 or even 100 meals? Any amount helps. Click here to make your best tax-deductible gift now.
Finally today, please continue praying for everyone still struggling after last week's powerful hurricane: families, first responders, emergency workers, and our team. Thank you, in advance, for your generous support.
God bless you,
Gary LeBlanc

P.S. The people of Louisiana take their food VERY seriously, especially their jambalaya. For lunch yesterday, we served more than 3,300 delicious plates of this local favorite. We're dedicated to serving great food to beautiful people in the most difficult circumstances of life. Please help Mercy Chefs feed body and soul by going here to give now:
