This woman's story is heartbreaking. Thanks to friends like you, Mercy Chefs is there to help. Please see below and go here to help sponsor meals for tornado victims. -- Gary
The other day, our team in Moss Point (MS) had the privilege of delivering hot meals to a woman who has faced two heartbreaking tragedies in the past week.
+ + Two tragedies...
Just before the tornado hit, her sister passed away.
On top of the trauma of losing her sister, she immediately was faced with caring for her sister's five children in addition to her six children! That means she had 11 children living in her home when the tornado hit.
The tornado ripped sections of the roof off her home. Miraculously, all 12 were unharmed by the storm. But now the family needs help in very practical ways.
That's why I'm so thankful for friends like you. Your support made it possible for our team in Moss Point to personally deliver 12 hot meals to that hurting family and to continue to provide support in the aftermath of the storm.
As you know, Mercy Chefs is fully deployed in two states -- Texas and Mississippi -- serving tornado victims in both Moss Point and Perryton (TX). I want to reach as many hurting families as possible.
Will you help? Go here to sponsor 10, 20, 50 or even 100 meals for tornado victims:
This woman's resilience as both a mother and a grieving sister has been deeply inspiring to our team. I'm so grateful for friends like you who send us to communities that have been devastated by disaster so we can bring hope and support to special homes like this.
Please keep praying, and thanks for your support.
Gary LeBlanc, Mercy Chefs
