In the past week, we’ve responded to three very different situations that have left people in desperate need for help. But even when we are stretched thin, we must go! That is the mission of Mercy Chefs!

Yesterday, in Brentwood, Tennessee, Mercy Chefs served meals to flood victims after rainfall over the weekend caused serious flooding in that region. The death toll has risen to seven, and weather forecasters have the area under a flash flood watch with more rain expected on the already saturated ground. 

Today, we're adding meals for first responders in Tennessee. Meanwhile in Birmingham, Alabama, we have been able to serve 1,500 meals per day to those impacted by deadly tornadoes. And all the while, Mercy Chefs has served as a beacon of hope in the midst of the humanitarian crisis at the border.

In each of these situations, thanks to you, Mercy Chefs has been able to distribute help and hope in the form of hot, chef-prepared meals. But three responses in a little over a week have stretched our resources. Simply put, we need help today to meet these needs and continue other vital efforts.

A few years ago, I couldn't have imagined that Mercy Chefs could respond with hot meals in three locations thousands of miles apart in the span of about a week.
