I've been sharing with you about a critical need Mercy Chefs is facing that will greatly enhance our ability to feed hurting families here in America facing disaster and hardship.

I want you to know WHY I want to get this freezer in place at our Storehouse before the summer storm season...

It's children like this young girl...

Especially during a disaster, kids don't really even understand the full ramifications of what just happened. Perhaps their family lost their home to a tornado, or a hurricane has forced them to take refuge in a shelter. The children just know they can't sleep in their own beds, and mom and dad can't make dinner.

When we serve these families and their children hot, chef-prepared meals, we see smiles returning to faces.

It's the kids' faces that capture my heart every single time.

I'm really hoping we can reach our April 30 goal of $100,000, but we still have a long way to go. As of this morning, we are less than halfway to our goal.

I'm asking you to consider making a special tax-deductible gift of $50, $100, or even $200 today to help us feed more people more effectively here at home. Go here to make a difference for hurting families this year:

Thank you so much for your consideration, and may God bless you!

Gary LeBlanc, Mercy Chefs

Special Request: If you are not doing so already, please consider donating MONTHLY and help feed families all year long! We will count your next four monthly gifts toward this important goal. Simply go here and select "monthly" on the giving form. Thanks!

Here's what this new freezer will do...

  • This is the final, vital piece we need to turn our Storehouse warehouse into a powerhouse of chef-quality meal distribution across the nation;
  • With this freezer in place, we will be able to receive bulk contributions of proteins -- beef, chicken and pork -- to our warehouse. This will help to reduce our costs and allow us to feed more people;
  • The new freezer will hold enough protein for 200,000 meals -- enough to provide hot meals with the best proteins during a major disaster strike here in the United States.
