I'm on the ground with our team in Clarksville, the epicenter of the tornado strike. The damage here is extensive...
Authorities have confirmed that a powerful EF-3 tornado hit Clarksville, as more than a dozen tornadoes ripped through central Tennessee. It's always shocking to see houses demolished, trees shredded and cars tossed by the winds. As many as 1,000 homes may have been damaged or destroyed.
+ + We are feeding tornado victims TODAY!
Mercy Chefs has already fully deployed for this disaster. Yesterday, our community kitchen in nearby Nashville delivered 400 meals for victims and first responders. As I write, our team is busy preparing HOT MEALS for delivery today.
These first hours after a disaster are absolutely critical. This is when the need is most urgent.
Our team is based at a church that is located right in Clarksville. Mercy Chefs is playing a critical role in this community's response. But WE NEED YOUR HELP!
Every meal we serve depends on the generosity of friends like you.
Please help. And please pray for the people of central Tennessee.
God bless,
Gary LeBlanc, Mercy Chefs
P.S. It costs about $35 to provide hot meals to 10 tornado victims. Perhaps you can do more and sponsor 20 meals ($70) or even 30 meals ($105). Every gift will help! Go here:
