We are facing some tough decisions.

The devastation in the Bahamas -- and specifically on Abaco -- was so immense that the work of rebuilding is literally just beginning.

In the past week, Mercy Chefs' truck began moving thousands of pounds of supplies across the island. The truck is a godsend. There is an urgent need for reliable transportation, especially of the heavy-duty variety.

But now, I feel an urgency to take our efforts to the next level and get started on building out the critical base of operations for our plan to rebuild. As I've shared, Mercy Chefs is working with other relief organizations on a plan to rebuild the churches and pastors' homes FIRST so that the Christian community can serve as the primary building block for the new Abaco. When we shared this plan with the Prime Minister, he said it was an "excellent" idea and gave it his approval.

But now we must get started, and it all hinges on building out the base of operations -- a kitchen and bunkhouse to support the teams who will do the hard work of rebuilding.

As I've shared, we need $50,000 right away so we can get started on building the base of operations. As of yesterday, we were still less than a third of the way toward that goal.

I want to help the people here. Mercy Chefs can play a strategic role in rebuilding Abaco by rebuilding the church. But we can't do it without faithful friends like you partnering with us.

Can you help?

Will you partner with Mercy Chefs so we can help thousands on Abaco who are still struggling? If you want to be part of this amazing opportunity to rebuild Abaco, go here to make your tax-deductible gift to help Mercy Chefs reach those hardest hit by this devastating hurricane while we continue other efforts:

The rebuilding effort on Abaco is immense. But the Lord has seen fit to put Mercy Chefs in a position to play a strategic role. Now we need your help.

As always, thank you for your prayers and your partnership!
