We'll help thousands of Israelis today through this weekend. Please help by sponsoring 10 meals, and see below. --Gary
With 28 communities having been ordered to evacuate from Israel's northern border, even more families are facing the reality of living away from their homes for an extended period of time. Many may never return to border communities, forced to rebuild their lives in another part of the country (this photo is from Sederot, an Israeli city with a population of about 30,000 along the border of Gaza).
Plus, the entire nation is bracing for the next phase of this war to begin — a phase that will require an even greater level of sacrifice and commitment.
+ + We've doubled our hot meal service...
It is clear that the need for hot meals and other vital resources in Israel will increase in the coming days. That's why I'm thankful to report to you that Mercy Chefs and our partners at our base camp have been able to double our daily output of hot meals.
This means our team can reach even more people in the coming days.
Now, I need your help!
Today through this weekend, we'll help thousands of Israelis who have been forced to evacuate or are still living in areas close to the front lines.
Can you help by sponsoring even 10 meals for just $35?
If you can do more, that would be a great blessing as well ($70 will help us provide 20 meals, for example). Go here to help feed families in Israel this weekend:
Every day brings more horrific details of Hamas' barbaric attack on October 7. What Hamas did is beyond comprehension — torturing and then murdering entire families who were all in one room... brutally killing pregnant mothers and infants... taking babies hostage. This nation will need years to heal, and the healing won't really begin until the terror threat is eliminated.
Please continue to pray for Israel. The forces of evil are on the move. A very distressing fever pitch of anti-Semitism has risen up around the world. We must pray for Israel and the Jewish people. And we must help them in their urgent time of need.
God bless,
Gary LeBlanc, Mercy Chefs
P.S. Our team is serving nutritious, hot meals to Israeli families in need. The meal pictured above consisted of Italian pasta with a side of roasted vegetables, fresh fruit and warm bread. Go here to help sponsor 10 meals we'll serve this weekend:
