Beryl Update: HOUSTON NEEDS HELP. Go here to sponsor meals and see below.

Houston and surrounding areas need HELP today.

As of this morning, well over 2 million people in Texas still do not have power -- and the heat index today is expected to reach 105 degrees.

Any food that was in the refrigerator when Beryl hit earlier this week is long gone.

+ + We're serving meals TODAY in Houston

Our Mercy Chefs team arrived in Houston yesterday and we immediately began serving meals. From our base of operations at Hope City Church, we are working with local shelters and the public school system to deliver meals to families and children.

Today, we'll deliver thousands of meals to those in need across Houston.

Can you help?

Go here to help sponsor 10, 20, 50 or even 100 meals we'll serve to Houston families in need this week:

With the heat, the power outage has already been long enough to create a dangerous health situation. Low-income neighborhoods are the most at risk.

Can I count on your help today?

Please go here to sponsor meals for our neighbors in Houston, and thanks so much for partnering with us.

Gary LeBlanc, Mercy Chefs

P.S. We need about 500 friends to step forward in the next 48 hours and help us. Thanks or your consideration! We also need help in Grenada. Go here to help with our Grenada deployment.
