Mercy Chefs is in the midst of one of our largest outreaches ever to help hurting kids during the summer.

I want to share with you a very specific need within these efforts that, in total, will provide over 100,000 meals.

+ + "Huddling" up for the kids...

Through our "Summer Huddle" program, pro athletes like Davon Godchaux and Jourdan Lewis (pictured here) are working with Mercy Chefs to provide hot meals and backpacks full of food to children who need a lift up.

We are partnering to distribute 7,000 backpacks to hurting kids through Summer HuddleEach backpack is filled with the equivalent of about 10 meals for the children, and it costs about $35 to put backpacks into the hands of three kids.

I'm hoping to have all 7,000 backpacks fully sponsored by faithful friends like you BY THE END OF THIS WEEKEND.

This will take hundreds of partners like you stepping forward to help kids.

Can I count on you to help sponsor six children to receive these special backpacks (about $70), or perhaps a dozen kids ($140)? Go here to help kids here at home this summer:

We've already reached kids in nearly a dozen communities, with many more outreaches planned this summer. And since Mercy Chefs' mission always is to "just go feed people," we're seeing amazing transformations take place in these kids' lives.

At our outreach with Davon Godchaux (pictured here), this towering defensive lineman who makes an impression as soon as he shows up took the time to share about God's love with two young boys and their dads.

When a pro athlete hands a child a meal and also pauses to pray, the kids and their fathers never forget that moment... a moment you are helping make possible!

We've got 7,000 backpacks to distribute. It costs about $35 to reach three kids.

Please help as you can, and thanks in advance!

May God bless you richly as you help the children,

Gary LeBlanc, Mercy Chefs

P.S. Perhaps the Lord has blessed you and you can help in a special way. About $350 will help us deliver these backpacks to 30 kids; $3,500 will reach 300 kids. Of course, every gift will help. Go here:
