I am on the ground today on Louisiana's Gulf Coast preparing for the impact from Tropical Storm Barry, which I fully expect to become Hurricane Barry overnight.
The forecast has shifted slightly further to the east, which is not good news. As the storm slows, reports are indicating that Barry is gaining strength and more moisture from the unseasonably warm (92 degree) gulf waters.
My team and I are watching the forecast and in place to ride out the storm with our mobile assets just outside of the state prepared for an immediate response after the initial strike.
We will keep you updated with the latest news on Tropical Storm Barry and Mercy Chefs' response. As we brace for impact, please keep everyone in Louisiana in your prayers, as well as folks as far inland as Oklahoma and Arkansas who could experience Barry's effects with heavy rains and potential flooding. I'd also like to ask for your prayers for my team as we too stand within Barry's path.
Thank you for your continued support of Mercy Chefs as we carry out our mission to feed body and soul.
Blessings,
Gary LeBlanc, Founder
